It was a sunny day on the alpaca farm, and I was ready to capture the perfect shot. I had brought my DSLR camera – after all, an alpaca selfie just wouldn't cut it, I thought. In front of me stood **Hugo**, the light brown alpaca. His fur gleamed in the sunlight, and he had this elegant look... well, at least that's what I thought.
I adjusted the camera, zoomed in a bit, and in my head, the perfect Instagram post was already playing out. Hashtag #AlpacaLove, hashtag #FluffGoals. I kneeled down, ready to capture the moment, when Hugo suddenly had a very particular expression. At first, I thought he was posing for me. A model, I thought, a natural talent! But no – Hugo had other plans.
Before I could even press the shutter, I saw something mysterious brewing in Hugo's mouth, as if in slow motion. His neck arched slightly back, and I knew: it’s happening. But instead of running away quickly – which would’ve been smart – I stood there like a statue, staring deep into his dark, superior eyes.
